Monday to Thursday: 7.30am–6.00pm
Friday: 7.30am–5.00pm
We close for bank holidays, two weeks over Christmas and three staff inset days each year

Our notice period to withdraw from your child's place is ONE calendar month. If your circumstances change or you decide we are not right for your child / family, please let a manager know and follow up in writing / email.

Funded Childcare
At Little Lambs, we help families understand and make the best use of the funded childcare available to them.
Working Families Funding – up to 30 hours
Eligible working parents may receive up to 30 funded hours per week for 38 weeks of the year, from the term after their child turns nine months until school age. This is 1,140 hours annually and may be stretched across more weeks by using fewer hours each week.
Families must apply online, receive an 11-digit eligibility code and give it to Little Lambs before the relevant term deadline. Eligibility must be reconfirmed through the childcare account every three months.
Universal Funding for three- and four-year-olds – 15 hours
All three- and four-year-olds in England are entitled to 15 funded hours per week for 38 weeks of the year, beginning the term after their third birthday. This is 570 hours annually and may also be stretched across more weeks.
Early Learning for two-year-olds – 15 hours
Some two-year-olds are entitled to 15 funded hours because of their family circumstances or the child’s additional support needs. Families can check their eligibility through Brighton & Hove City Council.
Using funded hours at Little Lambs
Subject to availability and an agreed booking pattern, funded hours may be used during our opening hours, either during term time or stretched across the year.
We do not charge a compulsory supplementary fee for funded places. Optional meals are charged separately: hot lunch is £3.70 and teatime meal is £2.50. Families may provide suitable alternatives instead. Any childcare booked in addition to funded hours is charged at our published rates.

Important funding deadlines
To begin funded childcare in April, families must apply and provide their code by 31 March.
To begin in September, the deadline is 31 August.
To begin in January, the deadline is 31 December.
Please give your valid eligibility code to Little Lambs before the deadline and remember to reconfirm your details through your Childcare Account every three months.
Funded places and preferred booking patterns are subject to availability, so we recommend contacting us as early as possible.
